Quote: "I am my own yojimbo, Scorpion. I've never had call for another."

Image: Nyoko stands about average height for a Dragon woman, round about 5'7 or so. The Dragon tend towards the taller end of the spectrum, and she is no exception. Despite being a shugenja, she has a build as good as some bushi with her daily excercises with the blade. A Dragon may be called to act at any time, in any way, so they should be ready. Typically, she wears a sleevless gold and green kimono and a pair of hakima, bound at the feet. Ornate tattoos of lions and dragons run up and down her arms. Nyoko's hair is also cut short, to just below her jawline, where the bangs are frequently pushed back by a scrap of gold silk to keep them out of her eyes. Most suprisingly, she wears a full daisho set, both katana and wakizashi, to signify she can take care of herself with the blade.

History: Nyoko is a descendant of the famed Agasha Shinoku, the Dragon battle-mage who personally captured the standard of the Scorpion at the Battle of Kenson Gakka, a battle in which saw a rare display of the Dragon's military might as they came to the aid of the Lion in claiming Benten Pass from the Clan of Lies. Nyoko's personally chosen to honor her family line's link with the Lion Clan by having a series of very vivid and beautiful tattoos of dragons and lions entertwining up and down her arms. "That way, I will never forget what I'm owed. And what I owe."

Like most of the Agasha, Nyoko heard the call of the kami early, and it was clear the young girl had the potential to be quite powerful. Still, while most Agasha only familiarize themselves with the more martial side of the Dragon, Nyoko wanted training. Her senseis told her this was unacceptable, but she was undeterred. When the other students fell asleep after a hard day's training, Nyoko would sneak out to learn from the guards of Kyuden Agasha. Thanks to her high birth, she was able to spend a few summers at Kitsuki castle, and even picked up a few tricks from them.

So. A bright, talented, fresh from gempukku girl with the power of the kami at her command, also skilled in the blade. But the way of the Dragon is to seek one's own path; fortune favors the mortal man, after all. Now, she's going to be given a chance to find out how much it does.
