Elemental Affinities

• You have an Affinity in Air. Your School Rank is considered one higher for Air spells.

The Soul's Grace

• Spend a Void point to add your Honor Rank to the number of dice you roll when casting a spell. Any spell effects that depend on the value of an Elemental Ring are adjusted as if your Ring were increased by your Honor Rank.

Advantages

• Blessing of Air (Increasing your Reflexes and Awareness costs one point less. Once per day, you may spend a Void Point to increase your TN to Be Hit by 5 for one hour.)

Notes

When Doji Aiko was born, she was destined to become a famous courtier, bringing fame and glory ot the Crane Clan. Or so her parents thought. The Fortunes, on the other hand, had different plans.

When Aiko was seven, and she had just begun her training at the Doji Courtier school, she was in an accident that threatened to take her life. She was invited to ride the horse of a friendly sensei at the school, and was thrown when a snake spooked her mount. Tsimeiko hit her head and fell into a coma, and the sensei was so dishonored that he was given permission to perform the three cuts. Before he could, however, the young Tsimeiko, lying motionless in the healers' ward at the school for days, was found hovering a foot above her bed. The Asahina caring for her who found her this way was only astonished more to find that she was healing herself, even in her coma.

Aiko awoke the next day, completely healed. She was horrified to hear what had happened, but glad to hear that her sensei had been spared from sepukku, though he had decided to retire to the monasteries of the Asahina nonetheless. She was taken aback when she was told that she had been the key to her own miraculous recovery, and that she was being released formt eh Courtier school to train wiht the Asahina Shugenja. Though the thought of leaving her family frightened her, she knew that it was her destiny.
