This spell is virtually identical to the spell Shroud of the Shadow Dragon, listed in Way of the Ninja, page 40. The only difference is the entity summoned and the era. This spell is for pre-Gold-era settings and summons the spirit of the Lying Darkness. After the fall of the Shadow at Volturnum and the susequent rise of the Shadow Dragon, this spell was re-worked by the Ninube to call upon the Shadow Dragon instead.
