Challenge

The characters are in a small town during the celebration of an annual festival. A peasant aproaches, asking for one of the characters by name. The character is told that is almost time for him to compete, and he should come to the parade grounds.

Focus

The character never entered any competition. None of the other characters have entered his name into the competition, either. Yet somehow, someone managed to ensure that his name was on the roster of competitors.

Strike

For the character to refuse to compete would be an act of cowardice. For him to raise a fuss about not having entered himself would be an act of emotion. Either way, he loses Honor and/or Glory for not competing. The competition may be dangerous, or it may simply be something in which he has little or no skill. The person who entered him may be attempting to injure or kill him, or simply looking to make him look foolish before a crowd. Or he may be being tested.
